Bugs Anyone…
You asked for them and here they are- pictures from our classroom! These pictures are not so much of our classroom but of the praying mantis that hatched from our egg sac Friday of last week.

Miss Mironuck takes a closer look.

1 million bugs crawling here and there… Well maybe not a million but when the egg hatched there sure were alot of them.

Ok! Hold still while we count you guys. Hey you! Quit moving!

Hello all!
Just a few more pictures to share.
Prior to our break, Mario brought me some beautiful tulips. Do any of our families grow tulips in their gardens? I don’t know which species of tulips I have at home. They were one of the only plants in my flower beds when I moved-in. However, every spring I enjoy beautiful red and yellow tulips.
The students and I made an art project out of them. I made a makeshift backdrop out of my worktable, we cleared the desks and we started to paint our portraits.

On the last day of classes prior to our winter break, Mario arrived to school with this!

What a masterpiece!
I have fond memories of my childhood when my cousins and I would build gingerbread houses (they were much smaller I must admit).
The students from our class really appreciated this gift! Thank you again to Mario and his mom who take very good care of us! Remember the candy apples?

You can’t see the yard in the first picture so I took a second.
Be honest, are you hungry now?

I hope everybody is enjoy their holidays! I have just gotten over one of the worst colds I have had in years.
I had wanted to post these pictures sooner however my cold kept me in bed. I hope you enjoy them!

Here we are getting ready for the big show!

The boys are learning how to be land barons.

Just before show time…

Getting closer but still only in the hallway.

Back stage last minute touch-ups.

Half-way done. Doing great!

Time to dance!
The kids and I had a blast performing for you. I hope you enjoyed the show!

Here are a few pictures from our trip to the art gallery. I was unable to photograph the students in the gallery where the exhibits were displayed. We split the group in two to facilitate the viewing. This is the reason I was unable to photograph the other half of our students.
Please take a moment to listen to our first podcasts. They can be found here, on the left hand side, vertical bar. The students who participated in the field trip discussed their experiences. Students who were not present discussed an alternate subject. This first podcast is intended to allow students to become familiar with Garageband (audio recording software) prior to making their Social Studies podcast.
