January Conferences
Hello!
I really appreciated seeing families this week. It was a productive opportunity to continue our goal setting and monitoring process for the 2007-2008 school year. Thank you for making yourself available during what must have been already been a busy week.
Here are a few pictures from our LTTA drama session.

I hope everyone enjoys their weekend. Although it is cold, enjoy your time together!

Hello!
We have started our intensive drama session with Learning Through The Arts. During this session, our in-class facilitator will be Melanie Schnell. Today students studied and role-played the story of Raven. Students participated in creative and exciting activities. Our next session is Monday, February 4th, 2008.
Here is a short excerpt from today’s work.
I am embarassed to admit that I can’t figure out how to embed the youtube video in my blog post. Sorry about the link…

Hello!
Next Tuesday is our first session with our LTTA facilitator Wendy Peart. She has sent me an email and I am pasting her message.
What I would ask that you have on hand for the students are:
* scissors, pencils and glue or glue sticks, rulers (We have this covered!)
* white 8 x 11.5 paper (just regular photocopy paper) 2 sheets each (We have this covered!)
* smallish rock like the kind out on the playground (What a great opportunity to go for a walk with your child. While on this walk, take time to share ideas and to see what great things your child is thinking about!)
*coloured tissue paper (We have this covered)
*if the children have any floral like material from old plastic or silk flowers from home (Would anybody have something like this laying around the house? If not I was going to go to thrift stores.)
I will provide the cardboard, calendar imagery, watercolour pencils,
and putty.
This session works well with our study of Saskatchewan.
