For our next Physical Education unit we will be revisiting swimming. Our class we be accompanying Mme Nguyen’s class to the North West Leisure Center. Our first swim date is Friday April 11th, 2008. We will be at the pool from 13:30 – 14:30. You will be receiving a permission slip at home tomorrow regarding this new unit.
The Regina Public Library is putting on a reading challenger for students and classrooms in Regina. From April 3rd – May 3th, 2008, Mayor Fiacco has challenged us to read millions of minutes during the month of April. All you need to do is encourage your child to read at home and to keep track of her or his reading. There are some great prizes for this challenge and I encourage you and your child to participate.

On March 18th, at the president of the Regina Public Schools Teachers Association presented to the school board regarding the “workload” and “work life” of a teacher in our school division. You may have read the article in the Leader Post. I have found the article on Canada.com and thought some might be interested in reading it.
