Hello!

I attended the Apple seminar at the Ramada today. The focus of the seminar was the 1 child- 1 computer model. Here are a few pictures of our students working with technology in the class from this week.

Our classroom computer-student ratio is approximately 1 to 3. Here our students are working on group research projects on wikipedia.

The notebooks are supposed to be used to capture big ideas and to do the quick writes regarding what they are reading and finding.

Students will each produce their own version of a blog entry from their cooperative online reading. The information will be put into our ning community.

Students have worked with our ning community and have been reflecting what as to what digital citizenship. We have been comparing and contrasting physical communities and digital communities. This will be the online space for the research blog entries. Soon to come: Social Study podcasts about our province.
