This Wednesday is the next exciting session of Come Read With Me. This month’s focus is Determining Importance. I hope to see you there.
Don’t forget that our students are away swimming Friday. Please ensure that all students arrive at school with a towel and their swimsuit.
Please be advised that I am away Thursday, April 24th and Friday, April 25th, 2008 in Saskatoon working with the Saskatchewan Teachers Federation at Spring Council.

Just a short post to announce that I will be presenting with colleagues at the Middle Years Conference 2008. I received the notice today.
Rochelle Rugg, Lisa Nenson Catley and I will be presenting: Come Read With Me! – A “How To” Family Literacy Model. This presentation is a true “how to” presentation so that colleagues may build a reading seminar at their local school. The reading seminar was created from “The 7 Keys of Comprehension” written by Susan Zimmermann and Chryse Hutchins. This will be my second formal presentation this year and I look forward to this opportunity.
