Hello!

Today in math we worked adding in columns. We working on questions 1 to 23. Nearly all students were able to complete this assignment in class. Students should complete this assignment at home tonight should they have any outstanding questions.
Tomorrow is day 3. On day 3 we exchange our books at the library. Please ensure that your child has their library books at school tomorrow so that they can either renew or exchange them.
In class students have individually read for 15 minutes. This time could be applied to their reading logs to convince kids that they are daily competent readers!

Hello!
Tonight students are to complete their Science assignment. They are to write down 5 observations from their moon-watch. Students must also ensure that they have completed p.35 #1-20 from today’s Math assignment. Finally, there are still a few students that have an outstanding 2nd draft for the writing portfolio. I have asked that these students finish their 2nd draft for tomorrow.

Hello
Conferences are rapidly approaching. During these conferences we will be Goal-Setting. I am sending home a notice of conference time and a survey sheet regarding Goal-Setting. Please complete this form and return it to school by Friday, September 28th, 2007.
Tonight’s homework is page 30 and 31 in the Math duo-tang. There are only a few students who have this outstanding assignment. Students have also been given a ”Mad Minute” math sheet to practice their addition facts. Students who complete all 40 addition questions and return the sheet signed by a parent or guardian can win a prize.

Hello!
Students are to finish their outstanding Math assignments. Most students should only be completing a few outstanding exercises on select pages.
I would like to take this opportunity to apologize. We have been unable to write our second dictée as of yet. One of our parents has emailed me requesting clarification. As per previous practice, Fridays were to be the dictée evaluations days. Mondays I would post the new dictée sentences. As we are trying to wrap up a few assignments in-class and due to a schedule reshuffle Friday, we have still yet to write our second dictée. I had intended for this to happen today but was forced to change plans. We will be writing the dictée tomorrow afternoon. I understand your question regarding dictées. I will try to ensure that dictée occur regularly Fridays and that I post new content Mondays.
Thank you for your understanding. I look forward to seeing you tomorrow night at our Open House.
