Leader Post, Updates for families | Comment (0)IPSCO Pool
Hello!
Our Ipsco Trip is this Friday and here is what we need each student to remember!
In the backpack:
o 2L of water (preferably in 2 jugs, water half frozen then filled to keep cool)
o healthy lunch and healthy snacks in re-useable containers – leave as little mess as possible
o suntan lotion and bug spray (preferably a lotion)
o HAT IS A MUST!!!
o Swim wear, water gun (1 only and little)
o Towel
The teacher will provide footballs, soccer balls, bocce ball sets, etc.
Students are responsible for putting on suntan lotion and bug spray. We will make sure they put on suntan lotion before we leave and again at lunchtime. However, students are responsible for the rest of the day. Bug spray will be put on at Ipsco park.
The rules at Ipsco pool indicate that students from Grade 2-3 are not permitted in the pool as there is no shallow end. Grade 4-5 students are permitted to swim, but must bring a life jacket if not comfortable in deep water. There is a spray pad at Ipsco that the Grade 2-3 students can play at instead of swimming. We have no exceptions for these rules! Grades 2-3 students will not be in the pool.
Any parents wishing to help out at Ipsco are welcome, but must meet us there. We have no room on the bus! We leave the school at 10:30 a.m.
There is a canteen at Ipsco. Students are responsible for their own money. The canteen is not to be used for lunch.

Hello,
We are going to the pool Monday June 16th, 2008. We will be swimming from 2 until 3. We are in need of parent volunteers as we will be walking to the pool. If you are available to escort our class to the pool please email me or call the school.

You asked for them and here they are- pictures from our classroom! These pictures are not so much of our classroom but of the praying mantis that hatched from our egg sac Friday of last week.

Miss Mironuck takes a closer look.

1 million bugs crawling here and there… Well maybe not a million but when the egg hatched there sure were alot of them.

Ok! Hold still while we count you guys. Hey you! Quit moving!
